Evening Women’s Fellowship: At the April 13 meeting, we learned of the challenges of Leah and Rachel in the culture of their time. Our next and last meeting of 2015-2016 fiscal year will be at the home of Dorletta Larsen, 4402 Eggers Drive, Fremont, 792-3729 on May 11 at 7:00 p.m. The study will be on Hannah and Elizabeth. The scripture will be 1 Samuel 1:1-28, 2:1-10, Luke 1:5-25, 1:67-79. These lessons about Old Testament women have been enlightening and interesting. The differences in culture have been mentioned but the lessons have all been applicable to today’s women. All women are invited in the Evening Women’s Fellowship.
Lap Robe Tying Group: The lap robe tying group met on Wednesday, April 27, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., in the fellowship hall. If you know someone who would like one of the lap robes or a group that could use several lap robes, let Alison Kieft, Judy Molander, or Dorletta Larsen know. There is no charge for the lap robes. All women are invited to join in the lap robe tying, but let Dorletta know if you plan to attend as lunch is provided.
Butterfly Tea: Many of the attendees at the Christmas Tea at Laura Beebe’s home expressed interest in the spring tea. We have reserved May 14 for this event. This promises to be an exciting day. Make your reservations with Alison Kieft or Judy Molander. Deadline for reservations is May 1.
Save the Date for Fall Retreat: The Annual Fall Retreat Women’s Retreat, held at the beautiful Mission Spring Conference Center, will be on September 23-25, 2016, and will feature keynote speaker the Rev. Diane Weible, the United Church of Christ Conference Minister for the Northern California Nevada Conference.
