Turkey Drive 2015 launches

Kids are planning trips to the pumpkin patch and the stores have a good supply but your Ministry of Social Concerns is already thinking turkeys! Our annual Turkey Drive began October 25 and will end November 22. Each year we do better than the previous year so let’s do the same this year. We’re hoping for 85 turkeys! Mr. Mikey will buy the turkeys wholesale for us and will deliver them to Tri-City Volunteers. Be sure to thank them when you stop by Mr. Mikey’s store.

Turkey share envelopes will be in the pews on Sundays until November 22. If you pay by check, just tuck it into the envelope; if by cash, please write your name on the envelope. Shares are $10, but we know that a turkey costs $20 so be as generous as you are able. If you wish to have a turkey brad to wear in your name badge or in a buttonhole, just pick it up from Mr. Turkey who will be out in the fellowship hall each Sunday of the drive along with his helper this year, our old friend Big Bird.
