The November special offering empowers our church to support a family that’s part of Abode Service’s “Home Warming” program. Home Warming is Abode Service’s rapid re-housing program. Rather than send people who are newly homeless to a shelter or interim housing, rapid re-housing places individuals and families in permanent housing first, then begins to address the issues that led to their homelessness. Rapid re-housing has proven to stabilize families faster and better than traditional ways of addressing homelessness.
This special offering will be officially received on Sunday, November 8, however, you are welcome to give to any of our Special Offerings at any time. You can see the schedule of special offerings at http://j.mp/1EA735B or call the church office and Randy will mail you one.
Thanks to your generosity, the October special offering for the United Church of Christ’s “Neighbors In Need” all-church offering and the Disciples of Christ’s “Reconciliation” all-church offering raised $1,437.
