Organ Fund keeps growing

Money continues to be raised to purchase and install a “new to us” organ at 36600 Niles Blvd. Right now, we have just over $14,000 raised. Jonathan Borchardt estimates that for $19,000 we can have a fifth generation instrument. (Allen Organs are currently building sixth generation instruments.) Even a fourth generation instrument would be more versatile than the old organ at 255 H St. Because of improved digitization, the sound reproduction has significantly improved.

If you would like to contribute toward the purchase of a new organ, you can send a check to the church, marked “organ.” Or go to the church’s website and click on the “donate” button at the top of the page, where you can make a donation of the Construction Angel Fund for the organ. Talk to Helen Boyer if you would like to donate shares of stocks or mutual funds that have increased in value without needing to pay tax on the capital gains.
