Special worship services planned

There will be several special worship services this December. You are encouraged to attend them all.

The four Sundays of Advent will include the lighting of the Advent candle, extra time for quiet contemplation, and a special coffee hour. The coffee hour on November 30 will be at 36600 Niles Blvd (barring any unforeseen construction problem). The Ministry of Christian Education Team invites you to decorate (and eat) Christmas Cookies during coffee hour on December 7. On December 14, our kids (with back-up from the Rainbow Ukulele Club) will lead us in singing Christmas Carols right after worship (while coffee hour is set up). And we will celebrate the choir on December 21.

Speaking of the choir, they will present their Christmas Cantata on December 21. Read more about the cantata here.

Starting at 7:00 p.m. on December 21, we will join with St. Anne’s Episcopal Church at their facility for our Longest Night Service. The evening will begin with a labyrinth walk. The service will begin at 7:30. Read more about this special service here.

Our Christmas Eve service will be at 11:00 p.m. Pastor Jeff says that he will have some news from Mount William, New Hampshire, to share during that service. There are a few more details here.

Our final worship service at 255 H Street will be on December 28 at 10:00 a.m. It will be a time of remembering, celebrating, and thanking God for all the ways this facility has empowered the ministry of Niles Congregational Church and Niles Discovery Church. You are encouraged to bring a pen to this worship service. See the story about the Niles Congregational Church time here for more details about coffee hour that day.
