Hungry and Homeless Awareness Week

November 15-23, 2014
This national event is being presented by groups in various communities. Here are a few events planned by Abode Services for here in the Tri-Cities:

November 20: Food for the Soul
A series of performances by local talent mixed with presentations by people who have been hard hit by hunger and homelessness will be held at Mission Coffee from 7-9. Please contact please contact Rosa Baeza at rbaeza@abodeservices.org if you plan to attend.

November 21: A Night Without a Home
This event is to help raise awareness of the plight of the homeless by sleeping under the stars. It is designed for youth grades 7 through 12. It will be hosted by Harbor Light and St James Episcopal Churches. Security monitors and chaperones are needed as well as food donations. For more information, see Jim Thomas.
