Annual Turkey Drive launched

It may not be Halloween yet, but it’s not too early to start the annual turkey drive for Tri-City Volunteers. Thanksgiving is coming, ready or not!

Sadly, more folks than ever will not be able to buy either turkey or the trimmings due to increases in the cost of living, as well as cutbacks in food stamps and other assistance programs. Last year, Niles Discovery Church, with the help of Mr. Mikey’s Grocery Store,  purchase and wholesale costs and delivered over 70 turkeys in time for Thanksgiving.

It’s time to start collecting money again.  Each $10 donated will purchase a “Turkey Share.” Identify your donation as “Turkey Drive” and tuck the cash or check in the offering plate, drop it by the office, or hand it to Judy Zlatnik. You will receive a turkey brad to attach to your nametag if you wish.
