Adult Sunday School readjusts time

The Adult Sunday morning program is returning to a start time of 9:00.  The group continues its exploration of key questions in the catechism of the Evangelical Church, a predecessor denomination to the United Church of Christ, by comparing them to other catechisms and the 8 Points of what it means to be a progressive Christian.

Choir members are encouraged to attend and leave when they need to.  The group meets in Ford Hall.

“It is freeing to belong to a faith tradition where we do not have to memorize and subscribe to a single established creed,” said group leader John Zlatnik, “but we also have a responsibility to explore what we personally believe.”

We are each undergoing a faith journey that started with our childhood experiences. As we examine the great questions of the church, we will have an opportunity to share our current beliefs.

“We probably won’t agree [on everything],” Zlatnik said, “but in the process we will learn and be challenged by each other.”
