Welcome Randy Fewel

The church’s Office Administrator, Cecilia Le, is going back school, so the Personnel Committee decided to divide her duties into two jobs. Cecilia will continue as the church’s bookkeeper. A new position of Church Secretary was created and has been filled by Randy Fewel. Randy started her training on July 22.

Randy is very excited about coming to work for Niles Discovery Church. Her career has been in developing and implementing life-enhancing programs in public and non-profit environments. Randy recently retired from 12 years as a computer applications instructor and assessment coordinator at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin. She has worked as a housing coordinator for Allied Housing and helped develop the award winning Housing Scholarship Program now run by the City of Fremont. She currently is the occasional GED examiner for Santa Rita Jail and substitutes for the jail’s Barbering and Cosmetology classes. She has experience in program management, job development, and teaching homeless, low-income, and incarcerated adults.

Randy has a Masters in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and has participated in numerous community organizations including: City of Fremont Citizens Advisory Committee, the American Association of University Women, the Boy Scouts of America, and The Bread Project, in Berkeley. Randy is a member of the Fremont Freewheelers Bicycle Club and now, instead of teaching behind bars, she enjoys riding behind bars (handlebars).
