Church begins collection of Puente

It’s stocking time!

The Ministry of Social Concerns Team invites you once again to help fill stockings for Puente.  This year we will be collecting the items that go in the stockings, and Puente will actually stuff the stocking.  We have committed to provide the items for 20 children’s stockings and 30 women’s stockings.

Children’s stockings will include:  Erasers, Glue Sticks, Color Pencils, Stickers, Party-size Play Doh, Flash Cards, Socks, Matchbox cars and stocking caps.  Women’s stockings will include Shampoo and Conditioner, Soap, Razors, Deodorant, Lotion, Mini flashlight, Emory board/manicure kits, toothbrush, toothpaste and socks.

They are also in need of Kmart and Ross gift cards, so that the parents can do a little shopping for their families.  We hope to have these available for your purchase through our scrip program, so keep an eye out for those, and turn them in to any Ministry of Social Concerns Team member.

You can donate by shopping for any of these items and bringing them to Ford Hall, or make a financial donation and the Ministry of Social Concerns Team will do the shopping.  If you’re an online shopper, you can check out these Amazon Wish Lists.

Do you miss the fun of actually filling the stockings?  Puente is also in need of volunteers to help with that on December 17 and 18.  Check with Judy Zlatnik for more information.
